Over the past decade, Zoë Svendsen, Director of METIS, has worked regularly as ‘dramaturg’ on theatre productions, almost exclusively focusing on adaptations of early modern drama.
This section of the website shares details of these productions and some of the dramaturgical thinking behind them. Zoë has also written a short introductory guide – that is also something of a polemic. Part of the Bloomsbury Theatre & series, Theatre & Dramaturgy was published in October 2023.
