METIS was invited to headline the inaugural Fabrications Festival in Lancashire, performing World Factory in disused factory Brierfield Mill near Burnley, which only closed in 2010. There were five performances over three days, from 28-30 September 2017
The festival engaged audience members from the area and it was fantastic to bring the show to another community rich in textile history.
World Factory previewed at the New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich and was finalized and presented at the Young Vic Theatre in London in May/June 2015 before touring in 2016/17 to established theatre venues in Brighton, Manchester,and Cambridge. We redesigned the show for presentation at former textile factory Brierfield Mill in Autumn 2017.
